All spindle motors sent to us receive rigorous testing, such as Surge and Megger testing, to ensure key individual components operate at industry standards. We also do mechanical tolerance checks on bearing shaft and housing fits. In addition, we only use OEM parts in our repairs, and every step of the process—from machining to winding—is completed in-house.
Once we do all of the necessary testing, it will determine where we go during the repair:
• If the stator is shorted, it goes to our winding department for rewind
• If end bells or shaft need machining, they go to our machining center
• During a standard repair, we wash and bake the stator and rotor, change bearings with high performance bearings, and put on new seals, replace any broken connectors We then assemble the motor, then, run it on the correct brand specific spindle test stand to verify it is set to the correct OEM specs.
