INCOMING! EMERGENCY RUSH REPAIR! Repair Zone to the Rescue

     We received a call late in the day from a Tier1 automotive supplier about an emergency rush repair of a Fanuc servo amplifier A06B-6085-H204. They said that they had a line down and could not operate without this part. They searched to find a replacement and could not. Even the OEM lead time was outrageous. We told them to ship it next day air and that we would get on it as soon as it arrived, around 10 AM the next morning.

     When we received the Fanuc amplifier at 10:10 AM, we gave it to our Fanuc technician; he immediately put it on our test stand and tried to run it to find out where the faults were. The unit was pretty dirty, so into the washer it went. After drying the unit, our tech began replacing the components that were bad. He ended up changing many of the components on the mother board as some were fried and others looked worn. Once the unit was put back together, it was placed back into the Fanuc test panel and ran successfully for over an hour.

     We were up against the clock, as we missed our UPS pick-up. Conveniently, The UPS Store is right down the road. We shipped the unit back to them Next Day Air completing a 36-hour turnaround for them and getting them running again.

     Jim from the company called us the next day and said, “We were dead in the water, completely, and you guys came through big time. We hooked-up the amplifier and everything is going smoothly. We have no doubt where to go next time for support. Thank-you guys!”
